The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has designated October as Respect Life Month. As Catholics, we respect and protect all human life from conception through natural death. In support of that, the St Catherine Respect Life Ministry has purchased prayer cards. They will be available in the Narthex. We purchased 1,000 so feel free to take a couple and share them with others.
The 40 crosses were put up this morning. Sadly, each cross represents 77 babies lost to abortion each and every day in the United States (3,080 / day, 1,124,200 / year). Please pray for end to abortion.
For the Caring Network Fundraiser, If you took a baby bottle last weekend, please bring it with you when you come to Mass this weekend. We are also still collecting the items needed (see the bulletin for a list of items).
Tomorrow (October 4) is the annual Pro-Life prayer vigil called Life Chain from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. St Catherine will be again at the Southwest corner of Milham and Westnedge. Please come to show your support for the unborn. Bring your Pro-Life sign or one will be provided to you.
Please consider signing up for the October 24 Dignity of Life Event at St Augustine. This event was organized by the Kalamazoo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women but is open to everyone. Sign up is required. Details of the event are in this weekends bulletin.
